Eagles Cut Strokes in Tri-Match Loss

The Brown County High School girls golf team fired a 216 in a tri-match with Edgewood High School and Brownstown Central High School Tuesday, August 8, at Cascades Golf Course. The Brownstown Central Lady Braves won the match with a 197, while the Edgewood Mustangs slipped by the Eagles, shooting a 214, good for second place. The Eagles may have settled for third, but their team total was 15 strokes better than their season opening score. Junior Lilly VanNess posted a 43 and got scoring support from Savannah Poling (56), Chloe Poling (57), Caitlin Seet (60), and Caitlynn Lookebill (69). Brown County hosts Eastern Greene Thursday, August 10 at 4:30 P.M.
