The boy's soccer team will be led by a great group of seniors. With five seniors this year, we will rely heavily on their leadership and experience. We return 2 captains from last year's group and all five players started in games last season. We did lose a few juniors from this year's team to season ending injuries and health related concerns. Those positions and players will be hard to replace. We have a great group of sophomores and freshman. We will be expecting a lot from both our sophomores and freshman. This is one of the biggest freshman groups we have seen in a while. In preparation for the season our team has put in time and effort in the offseason. One way we did that was through a soccer camp lead by the coaching staff at Xavier University. We also played in a summer scrimmage with Seymour High School in the month of July. Finally, we look forward to having a more balanced schedule this year. We have added a few teams that we have not played before and look forward to seeing what we can do. We will look for balance within our team as well, with players playing new positions and growing within their knowledge and experience of the game. The 2023 season brings both the opportunity for hope and growth for the boy's soccer program.
