2023 Girls Golf Preview

By Brad Baughman | Jul 26, 2023 12:00 AM

Six players, three with varsity experience and three with limited or no experience, comprise the current roster for the Brown County High School girls golf team. The Eagles return junior Lilly VanNess, last season's most valuable golfer; senior Savannah Poling, a three year letter winner; and sophomore Chloe Poling who had a strong freshman season. Those three will be joined by sophomores Maya Hernandez-Graham and Caitlin Seet, and freshman Caitlynn Lookebill. Brown County had to pull out of the Columbus East Invitational when the Olympians moved the date, but the Eagles were able to get into the Franklin Central Invitational later in the season. That marks the only real change in the schedule. The Eagles open the season Thursday, August 3 when they host the Indian Creek Braves at Salt Creek Golf Retreat.
