The Brown County High School girls golf team ended its regular season on a high note Thursday afternoon at The Legends in Franklin. The Eagles recorded a 224, edging past the Indian Creek Braves (225) by a stroke and the Whiteland Warriors (232) by eight shots. "Ben and I are so proud of our girls. They were on a course that played a bit tougher and probably a bit longer than they were used to, and they just went out and competed. Our team score was right on target for us; snatching a couple wins was a bonus," said Eagle co-coach Brad Baughman. "Hopefully, this gives us a little bounce in our step heading into the sectional on Monday," he added. BCHS scores: Chloe Poling 50, Cami Keaton 53, Caitlynn Lookebill 57, Maggie Gredy 64, Nevaeh Caito 66, and Jazmyn Kolacz 67. The Eagles compete in the IHSAA Sectional Monday, September 22, at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington. They are paired with Columbus East and Hauser and will tee off at 9:20 A.M. on the Pines Nine.
