Brown County High School

The Girls' Track and Field Team competed in the final home meet of the season on Tuesday night against Columbus East. A senior night celebration was held before the meet to honor our team's senior class that includes Hadley Gradolf, Alli Majors, Lizzie Roush and Xyleigh Thompson. We also recognized Madalyn Purlee who is a Junior that is graduating early. All of these athletes have been apart of the team for the duration of their high school careers and have contributed greatly to the team's success and culture. The meet on the track started off on a high note with the 4800m Relay team of Gradolf, Purlee, Hiatt and Austin taking the victory. Alli Majors followed this up with a 2nd place finish in the 100m Hurdles. Madalyn Purlee later came in 3rd place in the 800m Run. The highlight of the night came during the 3200m Run where all three girls competing finished with season best times and Hadley Gradolf took 1st place. Sadie Hiatt and Livie Austin ran a great pace that led them to personal best times. In the field events, Lizzie Roush took 3rd place in shot and hit a season best in the Discus. Xyleigh Thompson finished in 2nd place in the High Jump.
