After posting their best nine hole score of the season Monday at Timbergate Golf Course, the Eagle golfers returned to the same course Thursday and shaved 24 strokes off their Monday score to defeat the Southwestern Spartans 171-249. Clay Austin and Liam Cassiday led the Eagles and were co-medalists with a 41. Bradley Arndt fired a 43, while Wesley Arndt turned in a 46 to account for the team's season-low round. "We had two really positive practices at the range following Monday's match. Players were striking the ball more solidly and more consistently. I felt that we would better our Monday performance, but I did not think we would be 24 strokes better," said Eagle coach Brad Baughman. Two Eagles established career low rounds, Cassiday and Bradley Arndt, while Austin recorded his first ever eagle with a chip-in on the par 5 #6 hole. Other BCHS scores: Jon Kirchhofer 54 and Will Hiatt 67. The Eagles return to action Monday, May 1, when the host Owen Valley.
