Edinburgh was declared the winner by virtue of the tiebreaker at the #1 singles head to head match. On a day where the Eagles were determined to use what they had learned from the start of the season. Led by their one champion - Nicklaus Arndt at #3 singles the Eagles won all of their next matches to help the Eagles force a tiebreaker for the championship trophy. #1 and #2 singles players Jax Burt and Bryan Teague defeated their Southwestern opponents and our rearranged doubles teams also defeated their Edinburgh foes to score a critical points. Nicklaus Arndt and Nolan McFall played a marathon match that had them come from behind in the second set after being down 4-1 to win the set 6-4 and then won the 10 point tie break for the third set 10-7. At #2 doubles Audric Dunn and Jack Keener battled to a 6-4, 7-5 victory. This was a great day for the young Eagles as they will see both of these teams later in the season. The Eagles will travel to Columbus East and Owen Valley this week and host Sullivan on Saturday. Coach Roush
