Boy's Track Travels to Bloomington South for Dual Meet

The track team traveled to Bloomington South on Monday evening. The Eagles finished behind the Panthers 114-17, but several personal-best performances were achieved. Senior Chase Austin won both the 1600 and the 800 meter runs. His time in the 1600 was 4:42.84 and his 800 was 2:02.79. Fellow senior, Rafe Silbaugh finished 2nd in the 400 in a time of 55.64 to earn three points for the team. In the 300 hurdles, Cord Smith captured a 3rd place finish in a 47.57 and Wyatt Sutter finished 2nd in the discus with a personal-best of 126’10 to round out the scoring for the Eagles. Personal best performances were also turned in by Landon Scott(11.99-100), Eli Wrightsman(1600-5:34.31), Aidan Schilling(1600-5:39.30), Carter Condon(59.64-400), Jesse Hubbard(28.14-200), Wyatt Barnett(112’4 Discus), Brayden Hedger(78’8-Discus), Westin Fulford (35’4.5-Shot Put), and Jackson Daugherty(32’5-Shot Put). Another highlight from the evening was the return of senior Ethan Spiece who has battled back from surgery in the fall. He ran a 4x400 leg of 57.8 in his return. The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday as they host the Talon Relays at 10:45.
