Co-coaches Ben VanNess and Brad Baughman welcomed six golfers to the Eagle roster this season, two with experience and four who are brand new to the game. The Eagles will be led by senior Chloe Poling. Poling is a four-time letter winner and earned All Western Indiana Conference honors the past two seasons. The other veteran player is two-time letter winner, junior Caitlynn Lookebill. New to the roster and the game of golf are juniors Neveah Caito, Maggie Gredy, Cami Keaton, and sophomore Jazmyn Kolacz. "First of all, we are excited and grateful to have six golfers so we can compete this season, and the six we have have been absolutely wonderful to work with. The two returners have been very helpful in welcoming the newcomers, and the newcomers have shown a sincere desire to learn. While we know this may be one of the most inexperienced teams we have had in a while, Ben and I have been pleased with the team chemistry and the progress we are making," said Eagle co-coach Brad Baughman. The Eagles first match is not until Tuesday, August 12, giving them a little more instructional time. This season's schedule includes eight away matches and six home matches. Two Saturday Invitationals the team participated in last season were not being contested this season, so currently the only 18 hole event on the regular season schedule is the WIC championships on Saturday, August 23. "It will be fun to see how the newbies come along, and of course, we would like to see Chloe cap off her career successfully and Caitlynn have a productive season," said Baughman.
