The Eagles split another tri-match, this time losing to the host Edgewood Mustangs but defeating the Owen Valley Patriots. The Mustangs fired a blistering 164 on the Ridge Nine at Cascades Golf Course, easily outdistancing the Eagles' score of 208 and the Patriots' 212 team score. "The Ridge has some very tight holes that require accuracy off the tee. Many of our tee shots were wayward, and our players were often taking drops from red penalty areas which kept us from posting a better score," said coach Brad Baughman. Brown County individual scores: Clay Austin 47, Wesley Arndt 51, Bradley Arndt 54, Liam Cassiday 56, and Jon Kirchhofer 62. The Eagles will be back at Cascades Saturday for the twelve team Mustang Invitational but will be playing the Quarry and Pine nines. "I expect better scores Saturday since the nines we are playing are usually a bit more forgiving than the Ridge," Baughman said.
