Boys Track Joins Triangular Meet with Columbus North and Seymour

Tuesday evening the track teams competed at Columbus North against the host Bull Dogs and Seymour. The boys finished third in the triangular meet. Chase Austin finished third in the mile, clocking time of 4:27.31. The Eagles also had scoring positions from two throwers. Wyatt Sutter placed third in the discus with a season-best mark of 124-7 and Wyatt Barnett tied for third in shot with a season-best of 39-11.5. The Eagles also got personal bests from the 4x400 relay team of Rafe Silbaugh, Case Smith, Cord Smith, and Austin who ran 3:42.44. In the 800 there were two season-best times. Kai Koester posted a time of 2:19.84 and Eli Wrightsman ran 2:21.99. Also achieving season-best performances were Carter Condon in the 400 (1:00.13), PJ McMasters in the 200(30.50), and Westin Fulford had a toss of 107 in the discus to set his season best. The Eagles will have the Franklin Central Distance Showcase on Friday with a few distance runners who have qualified. The next full-team competition will be at Bloomington South on Monday.
