The Eagle golfers shot a 366 and grabbed a 4th place finish in the eight-team New Castle Invitational Saturday, May 24, at WestWood Golf Club in New Castle. Brown County senior Noah Lewis posted an 84 to lead the Eagles. Other Eagle scores: Cash Harden 90, Wesley Arndt 95, Parker Arndt 97, and Liam Cassiday 103. Providence High School won the event with a 305. New Castle A finished second; Franklin County took third; Brown County grabbed fourth, finishing ahead of Lawrence North A and Lawrence North B, New Castle B, and Blackford County. The Eagles host the Edgewood Mustangs Thursday, May 29, in an 18 hole dual match that is set to tee off at 1:30 P.M. "Our sectional is June 9, so we have a little less than two weeks to prepare for that. The Edgewood match and the four- way 18 hole match on June 3 with Trinity Lutheran, Indy Genesis, and Morristown were designed to help us get ready for the sectional," said Brad Baughman, Brown County coach. "When that day comes, each player will need to be playing his best for us to post a competitive score in our highly talented sectional field," said Baughman.
