After winning a couple matches on the road last week, the Eagles returned to Salt Creek Golf Retreat Tuesday afternoon for a dual match with Owen Valley. The Eagles had already beaten the Patriots twice this season at Rolling Meadows Golf Course but were unable to get the job done again. Owen Valley posted a 187, while Brown County was three shots behind with a 190. Noah Lewis led the Eagles and took match medalist honors with a 43. Other BCHS scores: Liam Cassiday 47, Wesley Arndt 49, Cash Harden 51, Colbie VanZuiden 51, Cole Wright 51, Parker Arndt 51, and Finn Silbaugh 60. "It was a very disappointing performance," said Eagle head coach Brad Baughman. "After posting two decent scores on the road, I was expecting us to take advantage of our home course knowledge and familiarity and knock out another low score, but too many of our golfers were just not dialed in," Baughman added. The Eagles are home again Wednesday, May 7, when they take on the Mitchell Bluejackets.
