The Eagles closed out a rainy month of April, posting their best round of the season, a 171, and defeated the Owen Valley Patriots (201) Wednesday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Several Eagles recorded personal best scores in the victory. Senior Wesley Arndt led the charge with a 39, his first career sub 40 round in competition. Arndt double bogeyed #1 then went on to play the remaining eight holes at one over to take medalist honors. Fellow senior Noah Lewis shot his best round of the season and was only three strokes behind Arndt with a 42. Also establishing a season best score was junior Cash Harden with a 44. Sophomore Colbie VanZuiden fired a 46 to round out the Brown County scoring total. Other BCHS scores: Liam Cassiday 47, Parker Arndt 49, Finn Silbaugh 53, and Cole Wright 58. "Wesley played a wonderful round. While he parred seven holes, his most impressive hole may have been the bogey he scrambled for on the par 4 #7 hole. He showed a lot of grit and toughness on that hole after hitting a poor tee shot into a penalty area," said BC head coach Brad Baughman. "With the conference tournament just a couple weeks away, I believe we are trending in the right direction," added Baughman. The Eagles are scheduled to play Southwestern Shelby on Thursday, May 1, at Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh.
