2023 BCHS Girls Tennis Season Preview We had a great season in 2022 and are looking forward to the girls ‘23 Eagles Tennis. Last year, we finished the season as WIC Conference Co-Champions with a season record of 12-8. Although we lost 3 of our 7 varsity starters to graduation, we return this spring with an experienced group of players at all positions. We are fortunate to have our #1 and #2 singles players Juniors Anna Stogsdill and Anna Tipton, returning. Senior Katie Tipton will be returning at #1 doubles and will be joined by Junior Londyn Koester after missing her Junior year due to injuries. Competing for our open singles and doubles positions will be Juniors Julia Burt, Cady Kemp, and Ava Kelly as well as Senior Hannah deWeerdt. Other experienced players competing for varsity and top JV spots are Juniors Atheena Doughty, Ashlynn Mercer, Jacqlynn Eastridge, and Jenna Patterson. Rounding out this season’s roster are Sophomores Isabelle Crone, Lydian Harrison, Ella Jackson, Sophie Mathis, and Freshmen Sophie Gordon, Brooklyn Hubbard, and Michaela Smith.
