Brown County High School

Brown County posted a 411 Monday, September 23, in the IHSAA Sectional at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington, good for a 6th place finish in the eleven team field. Though that finish ended the team's season, its senior leader, Lilly VanNess, will move on to the Regional for the second consecutive year. VanNess's 79 earned her third place overall and was the lowest score of any individual on a non advancing team. She will compete in the IHSAA Regional Saturday, September 28, at The Legends Golf Course in Franklin. Eagle junior Chloe Poling carded a 99, twelve strokes better than her 2023 sectional score. Senior Katie Johnson took a 111, fellow senior Ava Sanders had a 122, and sophomore Caitlynn Lookebill had a 132. With the sectional finish, the Eagles ended the season with an overall record of 37 wins and 21 losses.
