Middle of the Pack Finish for Golfers

The Eagle golfers posted a 420 Saturday in the Franklin Central Invitational at Smock Golf Course in Indianapolis. That score earned them an 8th place finish in the tough 15- team field that included three teams ranked in the top ten in the state. Franklin Community won the title with a team score of 325 and also had the individual medalist, Addy Bright, who carded a 76. Hamilton Southeastern grabbed the runner-up spot with a 343. Lilly VanNess finished 7th overall with an 83 to lead the Eagles. Other Eagle scores: Chloe Poling 99, Ava Sanders 118, Katie Johnson 120, and Caitlynn Lookebill 126. The Eagles have two more regular season matches scheduled. On Tuesday, September 17 they will travel to Clifty Creek Golf Course to battle the Hauser Jets, and then on Wednesday, the 18th, they will face Greenwood and Edinburgh at Timbergate Golf Course.
