In a highly competitive twelve team field, the Eagles recorded a 432 and finished a respectable 7th place in the Batesville High School Invitational Saturday, September 7. The host school, Batesville, currently ranked 9th in the state, fired a 338 to win the tournament. Hamilton Southeastern, the 4th ranked team in the state, posted a 347 to grab the runner-up spot. Brown County was led by its senior standout Lilly VanNess. VanNess shot an 85, the fifth best score in the event, but she settled for 7th place after the tie score she shared with two other players was broken with a scorecard playoff. Senior Katie Johnson played her best golf of the season and had the Eagles second best score, a 109. Chloe Poling took a 117, and Caitlynn Lookebill posted a 121 to add to the team total.
