The doubles team of Trevor Shields and Jax Burt came out aggressive and fell into a comfortable rhythm in their match. This team was really finding success in all parts of their games. It was a fun match to watch. Our new #2 doubles team of Robert Webb and Jack Keener had a lot of fun and success in their first set. They seemed to lose focus in the second, but regained it in time to win 6 straight games to secure a 7-5 victory. Owen East had his struggles at #1 singles, but started to recover, but it was just too late against a player like Tyler Ernst from Columbus East. Jax Anderson and Audric Dunn were forced to play somewhat out of position with the new line-up. The Eagles week is just half over as they host the Patriots from Owen Valley on Thursday and then travel to Sullivan on Saturday. These are both WIC conference matches. Although the Eagles were defeated tonight, I feel that our focus was much better and this gave us the opportunity to win this match. Coach Roush Record 0-7 WIC 0-2
