Brown County 1 BNL 4 #1 Singles - Owen East (BC) def Jackson Corey (BNL) 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (2-1 - injury retire) #2 Singles - Braxton Fugate (BNL) def Jax Burt (BC) 6-2, 6-3 #3 Singles - Asher Thompson (BNL) def Robert Webb (BC) 6-0, 6-0 #1 Doubles - Neal Patel/Orion Hill (BNL) def Jack Keener/Audric Dunn (BC) 6-0, 6-0 #2 Doubles - Michah Carter/Wyatt Corbin (BNL) def Jax Anderson/Logan Peck (BC) 6-1, 6-0 The Eagles traveled to Bedford to take on the Stars of Bedford North Lawrence and suffered a 1-4 loss. Owen East came away with the Eagles lone win at #1 singles. Playing at #2 singles Jax Burt played a very consistent match, but just came up short. Robert Webb was very competitive in his match at #3 singles, even though the score doesn't reflect it. Our freshmen, Jack Keener, Audric Dunn, Jax Anderson, and Logan Peck were tasked to play both of our doubles positions. Although the scores look bad, Each player was gaining valuable match experience. The Eagles will host the Steve Makurat Invitational on Saturday, August 31st at 9 AM.
