The Brown County High School girls golf team hosted the Bloomington High School South golfers in a match Wednesday afternoon at Salt Creek Golf Retreat and came up a few strokes short. The Panthers shot a 190, while the Eagles posted a 214. While the Eagles' top two players, Lilly VanNess (44) and Chloe Poling (56) struggled a bit with their putting, teammate Caitlynn Lookebill, playing in the #3 spot, recorded a career best round of 53. Brown County's #4 golfer, Katie Johnson, shot a 61. Earning medalist honors for the match was the Panthers' Melanie Southern with a 39. The Eagles will be right back on the course Thursday afternoon at 4:30 when they host Indian Creek.
