Behind a record setting round from Lilly VanNess, the Eagles bested the visiting Edinburgh Lancers Wednesday afternoon at Salt Creek Golf Retreat, 227 to 248. VanNess's one under par 35 not only tied the school record that she already shared with Ashley Masteller and Emma Bawinkel, it established a school record for a girls score on the home course, Salt Creek Golf Retreat. Masteller's 35 came at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, while Bawinkel recorded her score at The Legends Golf Club. VanNess fired her first 35 last season at St. Anne's Golf Course in North Vernon. Other BCHS scores: Chloe Poling 56, Caitlynn Lookebill 67, and Katie Johnson 69. The Eagles travel to Stone Crest Golf Community Thursday, August 15, for a match with Eastern Greene. The next week, the Eagles will host Bloomington South on Wednesday, August 21, and Indian Creek on Thursday, August 22, in preparation for the WIC Championship on Saturday, August 24, at Forest Park Golf Course in Brazil.
