Brown County girls Volleyball is geared up for an exciting season! With a new Head Coach, 3 returning Seniors and 4 Juniors, they have the experience needed to have a winning season. Coming off of last year’s singular win, the team has the fight in them to be better! Head Coach, Amanda Doss, is new to the Varsity roll but not new to Brown County Volleyball. She spent 5 years coaching at the JV level and 1 year with the Freshmen at Columbus North. Amanda is happy to be back home in Brown County and is ready to help BC volleyball return to a winning program. Returning Senior, Grace Johnson will lead the team in the setter role. Grace is a huge asset not only in setting, but also as an outside hitter and blocker, and most importantly in her leadership skills! Joining Grace in setting will be Junior, Aubree Denton. Aubree was out last season with a knee injury but, has been working hard in the gym and is back to full speed. Other key players to keep your eye on this season are: Hailee Darnell, Emmy Oswald, Ella East, Cami Eddins, Zoe Jackson, Isabelle Henderson, and Aryn Fish-Murphy. The team will begin their season on Thursday, August 15 with a scrimmage against Jennings County at Home. Their first regular season game will be on Saturday, August 17 when they travel to Greencastle for an 11:00 start. Come out and support your Lady Eagles in their Home opener on August 26 in a Conference matchup against Owen Valley, beginning with JV at 6:00!
