Brown County Eagles Varsity Volleyball Unable to Pull Off The Win In a 5 Set Thrilling Match Up with Indian Creek

By Jessica Robertson | Sep 29, 2022 12:00 PM

The Lady Eagles took on the Indian Creek Braves at home on 9/27 but were unable to pull off a win in what proved to be a 5 set thriller. The Eagles took the first set 25-17, lost the next two sets 20-25 and 19-25, and were able to pull out a win in the fourth set 25-23 after a 4-0 run led by aggressive serving from senior #7 Londyn Koester and freshman #3 Morgan Osborn. In the fifth set, the Eagles got in a hole early and were down by 8 points (5-13) before rallying back with another 4-0 run. However it wasn't enough to pull off the win and the Eagles lost the set 9-15. Although they lost, they had some tremendous support on both sides of the gym throughout the entire match. It was the battle of the cheer blocks with the student cheer block in their designated Eagle's Nest in the south side of the gym and the adults sitting right behind the bench on the north side of the gym. They cheered, they sang, and they danced through the entire 5 sets finishing off with a "We Are Proud Of you" chant. The adult fan block consisted of family members, teachers, and former BC athletes. They even broke out the old school letter jackets. It definitely made the match exciting and kept the Eagles fighting for a victory.
