The boys track and field team finished 8th of 12 at the Bloomington North Sectional on Thursday night. The host Cougars won the team title. The night got started well with the 4x8 team setting a nearly 14 second season PR. Case Smith, Charlie Webb, Eli Wrightsman, and Corbin Brahaum cruised to an 8:49.57 to secure 5th place. Landon Scott placed 8th in the 100 with a time of 11.89. In the 1600, BC had two scorers: Charlie Webb and Brahaum. They were 7th and 8th in 5:02.98 and 5:03.04. The 4x100 team of Ethan Williams, Billy Hubbard, Eli Webb, and Scott place 8th for the race, clocking a near season-best time of 47.59. In the 4x4, the Eagles placed 7th in a season- best time of 3:42.02. In the field, Smith cleared 5-6 to place 8th in the high jump. Wrightsman cleared 8-6 in the vault to place 8th, and Wyatt Sutter placed 8th in the discus with a mark of 126-6. The Eagles will wait until Friday to see if they have any at-large regional qualifiers.
