The Brown County Eagles Girls' Track & Field team finished their season at the Bloomington North Sectional on Tuesday, May 14th. The Eagles took 8th place in the 4x800m relay, 1600m run, and 4x100m relay. Members of these events are listed below. Congratulations to all of the girls who earned a point for their team or set a new personal record. There were three personal records on Tuesday. Great work Clare Endris in the Discus, Sadie Hiatt in the 1600m run, and Izzy Miller in the 3200m run. We are so pleased to witness lots of improvement and friendships blossom this season. We have several key ways to improve as a team next year that have been identified, and we look forward to seeing what the 2025 track & field season will look like for us with these improvements. We know that training and good attendance, with a focused goal in mind, results in improvement. We strongly encourage the team to stay engaged in athletics throughout the whole season by participating in fall and winter sports. Preparation for next season begins today. Athletes who choose to play a fall and/or winter sport will give their bodies a foundation of conditioning that can't be found during the in season competition time. For those who do not play a winter sport, we will host conditioning sessions throughout the winter. The time that is put in outside of the season is the biggest determiner for future success. The coaching staff would like to thank the parents for allowing their daughters to participate, driving them to and from practices, and volunteering at our home meets. It takes all of us working together to provide the best athletic opportunities for our students. We appreciate you! Please join us for the spring sports awards night on May 30th at 6:00 PM in the high school auditorium. Any athlete who has not turned in their warm-ip or uniform, please do so this week. 4x800m Relay- 8th place (1 point) Sadie Hiatt, Izzy Miller, Della Hitchcock, Livie Austin 1600m Run- 8th place (1 point) Sadie Hiatt 4x100m Relay- 8th place (1 point) Kalyani Schilling, Jordyn Nicols, Riley McCoy, Leanne Hash
