While the score last Friday may not show it, the young Eagles continue to improve on the field. In Friday's loss, the Eagles played well over a dozen players with little to no prior varsity experience against a team that returned a majority of its starting line-up. The Eagles were led offensively by Sophomore Running Back, Ben Wagler. Wagler lead the team in rushing and receiving yards. Defensively, the Eagles front 6 continues to lead the charge as multiple defensive lineman were at the top of the weekly tackles list. Four Defensive Lineman, Wyatt Barnett, Caleb Knaus, Andy Weddle, and Westin Fulford, tallied Tackles for Loss for the Eagles. Brayden Hedger, Senior Defensive Tackle, forced the lone takeaway for the Eagles defense, when he punched the ball out of the running back's hands. The Eagles are back in action Friday for their Homecoming game against WIC opponent West Vigo. Kick-off is slated for 7:30 Friday with Homecoming Block Party festivities starting at 4:30. Friday is also Bantam Night, as the Eagles Youth League teams will be introduced at Halftime.
