Mother Nature has been a little hard on the boys track team to start off the season. Only 1 of the 4 meets have been able to be completed due to weather. Tuesday, the boys track team competed at home against Columbus North and Seymour. After one delay, the meet lasted until rain and storms ended the meet for good during the 400. The meet will not be completed. The Eagles had several improvements from Saturday's invitational. The 4x800 relay team of Corbin Brahaum, Charlie Webb, Eli Wrightsman, and Aden Skaggs ran a season-best time of 9:17.21. In the 1600, Brahaum improved his time to 5:00.78 and Webb also improved to 5:05.48. Case Smith broke the 5 minute barrier with a 4:59.92 in the 1600. The 4x100 relay team captured their season best with a 47.74. That team consisted of Carter Condon, Ethan Williams, Eli Webb, and Landon Scott. Jesse Hubbard also had a best of 1:00.25 in the 400. In the field, Aiden Hadley improved his discus to 80-9 and Skaggs moved his season best in the long jump to 15-8. It was a good night for the high jumpers as Smith and Hubbard both moved their bests to 5-6. The Eagles will work to get ready for next Tuesday when they host Bloomington South and Martinsville.
