2024 BCHS Girls Tennis Season Preview The Brown County Eagles had a great season in 2023 and are looking forward to this ‘24 season. The team finished the season third in the Western Indiana Conference with a record of 6-2. Overall, the Eagles finished the ‘23 season with a record of 13-7. Brown County lost two of their varsity starters to graduation but are returning this spring with an experienced squad. All three singles players return from last year for their senior season including Anna Stogsdill, Anna Tipton, and Julia Burt. Also returning at doubles will be seniors Ava Kelly and Kady Kemp. Last year, the Kelly and Kemp played together at #2 doubles but will be at #1 this year. At #2 doubles this year, the Eagles have two more players with limited but valuable varsity experience from last year. Seniors Ashlynn Mercer and Atheena Doughty. Along with this starting roster of seniors, the Eagles have Seniors Jacqlynn Eastridge, Jenna Patterson, and Isabelle Gordon; Juniors Ella Jackson, Sophie Mathis, Ella Shultz and Aubrey Tilley; Sophomores Sophia Gordon, Brooklyn Hubbard, Michaela Smith, Jennica Weinke, and Gracie Van Zuiden; and Freshmen Awna Bryenton, Ava Kinnett, Isabelle Phillips, Lolah Polynice, Chloe Sawyer, Maggie Smoot, Elayna Stanley, and Addison Young. Managers are Robert Webb and Rieke Kugler. Brown County is coached by Thom Miller in his twenty-second season along with assistant coach Nate Tipton in his third season with the Eagles and assistant coach Josie Gray, a former Eagle tennis standout, in her first season with Brown County.
