The Brown County High School girls golf team took a four day break from practice and competition, and it seems to have paid off. The Eagles relied on season-best scores from Hannah deWeerdt (41) and Savannah Poling (52) to squeak out a one stroke victory over Owen Valley, 198-199, Tuesday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. The Eagles got a 49 from Lilly VanNess, a 56 from Ava Stogsdill, and a 60 from Chloe Poling. Next up for the golfers is a Thursday, September 8 match with Whiteland at The Legends Golf Course in Franklin.
