The season ended for the Brown County High School girls golf team Monday, September 21, in the IHSAA Sectional at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington. The Eagles finished ninth in the twelve -team field with a 466. Team Results: Martinsville 343; Bloomington North 383; Columbus North 415; Bloomington South 415; Columbus North 416; Indian Creek 417; Edgewood 431; Owen Valley 436; Brown County 466; Hauser 502; Bloomfield 532; and Edinburgh NS. Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Cami Keaton, who fired a 103 that included a par on her final hole of the day.Other BCHS scores: Caitlynn Lookebill 112, Maggie Gredy 124, Jazmyn Kolacz 127, and Nevaeh Caito 136. "We actually scored better than we had been scoring. Our nine hole average heading into the sectional was 243, so our 466 was an improvement. We shot a 224 on the Quarry Nine but struggled a bit on the Pine nine," said Eagle co-coach Brad Baughman. "Cami played her best, most consistent golf of the season," Baughman added. Baughman went on to say, "It was a tough season for us. We never established any real rhythm or progression. We had five or six matches canceled due to weather related issues, and as we dealt with those challenges, we just never saw the improvement we had been expecting. So it was gratifying to post a little better number in the sectional. We are certainly going to miss our four seniors - Caitlynn, Cami, Nevaeh, and Maggie.They are exceptional young ladies.
