We are two weeks into the season and have yet to complete a match. The opening week of the season we had no contests scheduled but were going to make up for that with a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday match format the second week. Unfortunately, a pattern of severe weather systems each of those three days prevented us from completing a match. While we were not able to even get on the course last Tuesday or Wednesday for scheduled home events, we did manage to get a match with Eastern Greene started last Thursday at StoneCrest Golf Course in Bedford. However, after completing only four or five holes, strong storms forced us off the course and back to our bus. It was nice for our five returning players to get on the course and knock a little rust off, but it was still extremely disappointing to not get a score in. Hopefully, we will get our two home matches in this week - Wednesday, August 19 with Crothersville and Thursday, August 20 with Bloomington South, before competing in the Bedford North Lawrence Invitational Saturday, August 22 at Otis Park Golf Course. We have been able to reschedule one of the canceled matches and are working on rescheduling the other two. Brownstown Central will visit on Tuesday, August 25.
