By Brad Baughman | May 22, 2026 12:00 AM

Like all spring sports teams, the Eagle golfers have been battling the weather. Though the conditions were not ideal due to multiple days of steady rain, the Eagles finally got on the course and soundly defeated the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds 173 to 219 at Salt Creek Golf Retreat Thursday afternoon. "Our conference tournament was rained out last Saturday, and then an away match with Waldron on Tuesday was also rained out. It was nice to get back on the course and compete, and I was pleased with our performance," said Eagle coach Brad Baughman. Parker Arndt grabbed medalist honors with a 41, while Colbie VanZuiden was just one shot behind him with a 42.Carter Hawley and Nicklaus Arndt each posted a 45 to complete the scoring. It was a personal best for Nicklaus. Other BCHS scores: Rilan Purlee 47, Kareem Taiwo 53, Archer Egenolf 56, and Trey Fowler 63. Brown County will travel to Westwood Country Club Saturday, May 23, to compete in the New Castle Invitational. The Eagles will tee off at 1:00 pm.
