Brown County traveled to Clifty Creek Golf Course Tuesday to compete in a tri-match with the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles and the host team, the Hauser Jets. The BC Eagles shot a season best 172, good enough to defeat the host Jets who posted a 181, but just a few strokes off the victorious Jac-Cen-Del team who finished with a 164. Jac-Cen-Del was led by Darian Grieshop who fired a 39, good for medalist honors. For Brown County, Colby Van Zuiden and Parker Arndt each recorded a 42, while Finn Silbaugh and Archer Egenolf both came in with a 43. Other BCHS scores: Carter Hawley 45, Trey Fowler 47, Rilan Purlee 49, and Kareem Taiwo 51. "We played a solid round, and made some really quality shots today. Archer posted a personal best, and for us to achieve our lowest score of the season on a course that only three of the eight had ever seen before was very promising," said BC coach Brad Baughman. Another tri-match is scheduled for Brown County Wednesday, May 13, when they battle Indian Creek and Mooresville Christian at Bluff Creek Golf Course.
