After a Monday cancellation due to severe weather, the Eagles and Edinburgh Lancers were able to reschedule their match for Wednesday, and the Eagles prevailed at Salt Creek 184 to 206. Freshman Carter Hawley fired a 42, his best round of the season, good for medalist honors to lead the Eagles. The next two low scores for Brown County were also recorded by freshmen - Rilan Purlee with a 44 and Trey Fowler with a 48. Other BCHS scores: Colbie Van Zuiden 50, Parker Arndt 50, Kareem Taiwo 51, Nicklaus Arndt 51, and Finn Silbaugh 53. "It certainly is encouraging to see the development of our freshmen. We had five freshmen in the lineup, and we shoot a 185 just using their scores. That bodes well for the future." stated Eagle coach Brad Baughman. Brown County hosts West Washington and Southwestern Shelby Thursday, April 30, in a 5:00 p.m. match.
