Tenth Place Finish for Eagles in Artesian Classic

Brown County competed in the Martinsville Artesian Classic Saturday at Foxcliff Golf Course and finished 10th in the thirteen team field with a 380, 19 strokes better than last season's score. Junior Colbie VanZuiden and sophomore Parker Arndt each posted a 92 to lead the Eagles. Freshman Rilan Purlee shot a 96, while sophomore Finn Silbaugh carded a 100 and freshman Archer Egenolf took a 105 to round out the Eagle scoring. "I was extremely pleased with our performance. Three of our five were playing in their first 18 hole event, and they held up well. We had a really solid first week of competition," stated Eagle coach Brad Baughman. Individual Medalist - Zach Daum, Plainfield High School. Next up for the Eagles is a tri-match with Indian Creek and Martinsville Tuesday, April 14, at Bluff Creek Golf Course in Mooresville.
