Junior Colbie VanZuiden fired a 42 to lead the Eagles to victory over North Decatur and South Decatur Tuesday afternoon at Salt Creek Golf Retreat. Brown County posted a 197, while North Decatur came in with a 206, and South Decatur finished with no team score since they were one player short to record an official score. "We were able to get ten of our thirteen players on the course for the match, six of whom were competing in their first high school match," said Eagle coach Brad Baughman. Baughman added, "only three of our thirteen have any varsity golf experience, so patience will be a key for all of us as we watch the newcomers develop." Other Brown County scores: Carter Hawley 51, Parker Arndt 52, Rilan Purlee 52, Archer Egenolf 54, Finn Silbaugh 55, Trey Fowler 55, Nicklau Arndt 57, Hayes Meyer 64, and Logan Peck 68. The Eagles host the Hauser Jets Thursday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m.
