Brown County Hosts Annual Cross Country Eagle Classic

The weather was perfect for racing Saturday morning at Eagle Park for the 22nd edition of the Eagle Classic. Seventy some teams were represented over seven different races. The day for the Eagles got started with two freshmen running in the Freshman/Sophomore race. Aden Skaggs ran a season-best time of 22:31 and Joel Murphy also ran a season-best of 26:26. In the Varsity Boys race, the Eagles placed 4th of 14 teams in the small-school division. Charlie Webb once again led the way. Charlie placed 12th in 18:04. Kai Koester ran his season best and clocked an 18:35. Corbin Brahaum was the next Eagle across the line in a time of 18:50. Eli Wrightsman ran 19:06 and Josh Redmon ran 19:57 to close out the Eagles scoring. Also running for the Eagles was Carter Condon(20:50), Josh Bowling(22:11), and Elijah LaVere(22:37). For the girls, they finished 5th of 8 in the small-school division. Sadie Hiatt had an improvement with her performance as she ran 22:45. Charly Eddins also had a season-best performance of 24:12. Della Hitchcock clocked her best of the season with a time of 24:23. Following closely behind Hitchcock was Izzy Miller. Miller’s 24:35 was her best of the season. Livie Austin’s 24:57 was her season best and Megan Cumberledge ran 25:23. The Eagles will have a week off before they head to Culver for the annual invitational there.
