Girls Finish 3rd and Boys 4th at the Annual Mustang Cross Country Invitational

The cross country teams traveled to Ellettsville on Tuesday night for the annual Mustang Invitational. The girls finished 3rd out of 7 complete teams. Ten schools actually participated but only 7 had their five scoring runners complete the course. Sadie Hiatt was the first Eagle across the line, finishing in 25:18 for 18th place. Livie Austin followed close behind as she finished in 19th at 25:22. Izzy Miller ran in 3rd position for the team as she was 23rd in 25:57. Megan Cumberledge clocked a 26:10 and Della Hitchcock ran a 27:52 to take care of the Eagle’s scoring. On the boy’s side, the Eagles finished 4th out of 9 teams. In 11th place was Charlie Webb who ran 18:52. Fellow senior, Corbin Brahaum was 12th in 19:09. Finishing 20th and running 19:45 was Kai Koester. Eli Wrightsman was the 4th Eagle across in 20:47, and junior Josh Redmon finished in 21:48 to finish out the Eagle scoring. Other Eagles competing tonight were as follows: Xavier Himebaugh(22:36), Carter Condon(23:35), Elijah LaVere(23:36),Josh Bowling (25:28), and Joel Murphy(30:21). The Eagles will spend the rest of the week getting ready for the Rick Weinheimer Classic at Columbus North(Ceraland) on Saturday. Start time is at 9:00 with the boys race.
