Cross Country Visits Angel Mounds for Dennis Bays Invitational

The Eagles traveled to Evansville on Saturday morning to compete for the first time in the Dennis Bays Invitational. The meet was hosted by Evansville Harrison on the course where the IHSAA Regional will be run in late October. The girls team finished in 21st in the very competitive field. Sadie Hiatt was the first Eagle across the line running, finishing in 25:08. Livie Austin followed close behind in 25:13. Megan Cumberledge crossed in 26:24, and the last two Eagles to cross were Della Hitchcock and Izzy Miller, who ran 26:47 and 27:25 respectively. For the boys, it was Kai Koester who crossed first for the Eagles. Koester crossed the line in 19:09. Corbin Brahaum was the next Eagle in with a 19:34. Eli Wrightsman ran a 20:02 and Josh Redmon finished next in 20:35. Carter Condon came across in 21:58 with teammate Xavier Himebaugh right on his heels in 22:01. Elijah LaVere also finished for the Eagles in 24:13. As a team, the Eagles also finished in 21st. It will be a short recovery as the team will head to Edgewood on Tuesday for the annual Mustang Invitational.
