This tournament that happens during both the boys and girls season is named after Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame and long time Brown County Tennis Coach Steve Makurat. The Eagles looked strong as they won 3 of their 5 first round matches to enter in the championship round. #1 Singles player Jack Sichting, #3 Singles player Trevor Shields, and the #1 doubles team of Jon Kirchhofer and Jax Burt were all victorious and entered the championship round with high expectations. Owen East playing #2 singles was victorious in his consolation match and the doubles team of Cord Smith and Sawyer Gore were just a few shots away from winning their consolation match. All of the Eagles continue to improve their game as the season progresses.Eli Vela won his first ever match today in JV action. Robert Webb continues to improve each day, too.
