The Eagles shot a 454 Saturday in the Columbus East Invitational, good for 10th place in the highly competitive 11 team field. It was the first of three consecutive Saturday 18 hole events for the Eagles whose 454 was matched by Edinburgh. The Eagles won the 10th spot, however, on a fifth score tie-breaker. "Otter Creek was definitely the toughest course we had seen this season, and may very well be the toughest course we will see all season," said Brown County High School co-coach Brad Baughman. "Because of course conditions, we had not played out of many sand traps, and Otter Creek is loaded with sand. Our girls struggled a bit with the sand and the length, but we were really proud of their overall performance," added Baughman. " For the Eagles, Lilly VanNess fired a 104; Hanna deWeerdt carded a 110; Ava Stogsdill shot a 116; Savannah Poling had a 124; and Chloe Poling took a 129. Tournament Results: Columbus North 331, Bedford N. Lawrence 347, Jasper 364, Columbus East 369, Franklin Central 378, Bloomington South 407, Lawrence Central 407, Greenwood Christian 449, Jeffersonville 453, Brown County 454, Edinburgh 454.
