Eagle Golfers Come Up Short

The girls golf team fell to Brownstown Central and Edgewood in a tri-match at Salt Creek Golf Retreat Tuesday afternoon. The Brownstown Central Braves won the match with a 220, while the Edgewood Mustangs captured second with a 232, just one stroke better than the third place Eagles with a 233. Hannah deWeerdt's 51 led the Eagles while Lilly VanNess carded a 55. Savannah Poling shot a 63, and Ava Stogsdill and Chloe Poling recorded a 64 and 66 respectively. Brown County will play again Wednesday, August 10, when they host Edinburgh and Whiteland in a rescheduled tri- match that was postponed Monday due to rain. The Eagles will travel to Stone Crest Golf Course on Thurssday the 11th to battle Eastern Greene and then close out the week on Saturday the 13th when they compete in the Columbus East Invitational at Otter Creek.
