The eagles completed the home part of the schedule on Saturday with a 4-1 win over the Spartans of Southwestern Shelby. The eagles were coached by Coach Thom Miller as Coach Roush was away with his family. The eagles were winners at all positions, except the for a very hotly contested #1 doubles match. Our eagle duo of Spencer Blee and Noah Cochran playing their last high school match at home, fought valiantly, but came up short in the third set super tie break, 8-10. This was the second time these two teams have faced off on the court. The eagles were victorious in the Steve Makurat Invitational. Seniors, Nolan Patterson, Aidan Burt, and returning senior, John Oliver also completed their last home match. We have been playing without our last senior, Reid Davis as he has been unavailable to the program, we anxiously await his return. This group of seniors have been a part of rebuilding the Brown County tennis program and have set the tone for the future. Their time in the program has been greatly appreciated and their dedication and leadership will be missed. Most of all, we will miss the quality of their character and are proud of the future men they will become. They will have left a great legacy for all to follow. Good luck seniors as you move forward, the Brown County tennis program is stronger and better because of you. Thank You, Seniors.
