The eagles played a very competitive match with the defending WIC champion Knights of Northview. Although they did not win, they pushed the Knights and a few points in the #1 doubles match, I feel we may have come away with the win. #3 singles player Reid Davis scored the eagles first point and our second point came from the #2 doubles team of Aidan Burt and Eli Sichting with a dominating performance in the third set. Josh and Nolan played two seniors who have been in their respective positions for a couple of years. They both had a lot of really long rallies and won their share of points. They both continue to improve as the season progresses. Our #1 doubles team of Noah and Spencer also played hard, but had a few missed shots that lead to their defeat. With a couple of JV players not available today was double duty for our guys. They continue to get much needed match experience that will be needed next year as we lose five starters. As we look ahead to next week, we start on the road with Trinity Lutheran, Wednesday and BNL on Thursday and come back home for the Brown County Invite on Saturday.
