Behind sophomore Avery Patterson’s career best 43, the Eagles posted their low nine hole score of the season, a 197, to defeat the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds Wednesday at Salt Creek Golf Course.

The Eagles got a 49 from junior Abby Padgett, also a career best. Annika Evenson contributed a 52, and Ainslie Winton fired a 53 to account for the rest of the Eagle scoring.

“This was an exceptionally productive week. Heading into the WIC championships our nine hole average was 237. This week we shoot a 209 and 197. I am so proud of and happy for the girls. Their hard work and decision making are paying dividends,” stated co-coach Brad Baughman.

The Eagles will not compete again until Tuesday, September 8, when they play Owen Valley at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Gosport.

Other BCHS scores: Savannah Poling 62, Mattie Satter 64, and Ava Padgett 66.
