The Lady Eagles picked up their 2nd win of the season with a hard fought win over Bloomington North. BC came out strong in the 1st quarter establishing an early 12-5 lead before the Lady Cougars fought back to tie it at 14 at the end of the quarter. North carried the momentum into the 2nd quarter as they took advantage of several BC players being in foul trouble and bilt a 25-18 lead. But the home team refused to give in and fought back to close within 3 at the half. BC came out of the locker room determine to take control of the game as they used their defense to hold North to only 4 points in the period to take a 4 point lead into the final quarter. The Lady Eagles slowly stretched the lead throughout the final quarter as they saw the lead grow to as many as 10 as they were able to put the finishing touches on the victory. A balanced scoring attack saw all 8 Lady Eagles that played put points on the board. Gracie Matlock was the lone BC player in double figures with 11. The Lady Eagles travel to Columbus East next Tuesday for a contest with the Lady Olympians.
