The varsity eagles fell short of their goal of capturing the 3rd place position in the WIC crossover against the Vikings of West Vigo. The Eagles were competitive for most of the day with Aaron winning his first set and the #1 doubles team of Spencer and Nolan coming within a break of serve of reversing their results. I really thought Josh at #3 singles had a good handle on his match, but his senior opponent used his experience to win. The young eagles have made great strides in the moving up 4 places in the overall conference standings. A tough loss in this match will be remembered and used as motivation to work harder and continue to get better.

The eagles have a full week of matches next week as they travel to Waldron, play Sullivan and then host Edinburgh for senior night on Thursday. They finish up the week with the rescheduled BC Invite on Saturday vs Southwestern, Corydon Central and Brownstown Central.

Record 5-6 (2-2 WIC 4th place)
