In its last regular season match, the Brown County High School boys’ golf team shot a solid 180 and defeated the visiting Morristown Yellow Jackets by 23 strokes. Seniors Parker VanNess and Curtis Lookebill led the way for the Eagles. VanNess fired a blistering five under par 31, while Lookebill carded a 43. The two seniors were honored in a senior recognition night reception held after the match was concluded. Also scoring for the Eagles were Cooper VanNess with a 51 and Rex Watters with a 55.
Other BCHS scores: Paul Kleppe – 56, Peyton Proctor – 59, Jake Huddleston – 63, and Camden Carlile – 67.
The Eagles will compete in the IHSAA sectional on Monday, June 3, at the Bloomington Country Club. Paired with Trinity Lutheran and West Washington, Brown County will tee off at 8:00 A.M. on hole #10.
