Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Cross Country Competes at Columbus North Invitational


A new BCHS school record was set Saturday morning at the CERAland course in Columbus.  Sophomore, Abby Fleetwood topped the old record by 12 seconds, clocking an impressive early-season time of 18:47.  Fleetwood finished third in the small-school division.  Finishing closely behind her was sophomore, Hadley Gradolf. Gradolf took fourth in a personal-best time of 19:01.  Overall, the girls’ team finished 4th of 13 in their division.  On the boys’ side, sophomore Chase Austin won his second straight invitational championship.  Austin covered the 5k course in a personal-best time of 16:14.  Austin’s performance helped earn the boys’ team a fourth place finish in their division, which consisted of 19 teams.  Both teams will prepare this week for the annual Eagle Classic, which will be split over two days this year.  Both Eagle squads will compete in the small-school division on Friday night.  Other Eagle performances from Saturday are listed below:
